What age range did you specify in your online ad that you wanted to date? If he is older than what you honestly stated that you want to date, then don't meet him. If you have an issue with his age, just be honest and say you aren't interested.

i say meet and then see how it goes.

what can you possibly lose?

and in this day and age, it seems to be making more and more sense for women to date older men. i'm not sure why, but it seems like it's taking men longer and longer to mature...

Talk to him on the phone for about 30 minutes to make sure he doesn't sound weird or off and then meet for coffee - what do you have to lose?

I agree with everyone else. Go ahead and meet him. You have nothing to lose except maybe a couple hours of your time. I never thought I'd date anyone more than a few years older than me, but my last boyfriend was 16 years older than me. The age difference didn't turn out to be as significant as I thought. He didn't act or look his age, so we were able to relate to each other better than I expected.

Well, I think if your not sure if oyu should meet him then you shouldn't. I've talk to tons of older guys but I wont meet them unless im totally sure im comfortable with it all. If anything just meet in a public place and stay in a public place so that way you know that others are around. Hope it helps you out.

Well, this is solely up to you. If it makes you uncomfortable, no matter what anyone says, you are going to be uncomfortable. Personally, I do not think that is a big deal. I mean its not that bad.

Maybe you could meet him and see how you feel?

That's how it worked with my ex too. Good luck! You'll have to keep us all informed on how things are going. Some of us find we have to live vicariously through others due to a lack of a social life of our own.
