Any meaning to Left Middle finger ring?

Just a question to obtain some feedback from the single women and men here...I dug out an old and very sweet white gold and diamond ring, which I bought 6 years ago and ignored for the whole last 6 years. Thin band, with little pave diamonds going down the sides, with a small sparkly circle of diamonds surrounding a small diamond...not expensive at all, but very pretty and I feel like wearing it now. But it only fits my left middle finger, and I would like to know, would a ring like this signify "boyfriend" or relationship to men,? I would want to know in the event that I do occassionally attend a singles event once in a while, and would not want to appear to be spoken for. On the other hand, I guess maybe it COULD come in handy with this one man at my job I am not interested in, but he seems interested in me. I was looking in Google at this significance of which rings on which fingers, and there was even one writing where a man said "left index finger, looking. Left middle finger, in love. Left ring finger, married or engaged." Would be interested in knowing what you all think, especially the men here. Thanks.

I'm not a man, but I think the only significant finger is the left ring finger. Other than that, if you're wearing a ring, I think it means you like jewelry. I'd say wear it.

Or, if you're really bothered by it, have it resized for your right hand.

As a guy, I can say that seeing a ring on ANY finger on a woman's left hand sends the signal that she's "taken". I know it's usually supposed to be the ring finger, but I know married women who wear it on a different finger for whatever reason (size, etc.)

If you want guys to approach you, ALL fingers of your left hand should ideally be left completely bare. Even the thumb LOL. Seeing a ring puts the brakes on a guy's approach before it even starts. You can put rings on all fingers of your right hand :)

Anything with even a hint of white diamond(s) looks like a wedding ("taken") ring, even on the right hand. And a plain metal "band" also looks like a wedding band.

Well, that was about how to make it easier for a guy to approach you :)
As far as "repelling" a specific guy, some guys don't let rings of any kind stop them. You have to let them know verbally that you are not interested, or are seeing someone.

I would recommend sizing the ring like tallgirl said. The thumb ring is really popular right now as is a pinkie ring. Sizing doesnt cost very much at all.

Here are two reasons for wearing a ring anywhere on the left hand.
I wear a cocktail ring on my left pinkie because I'v gained weight and my rings just don't fit the wedding finger or my right hand fingers.
A guy years ago told me that if a married man wears his ring on the right hand or the left hand pinkie that means he is announcing he is willing to play around.

That's all I know. Hope this helps.

I have a beautiful amethyst ring that my dad and stepmom gave me for my 25th birthday, and I've gotten out of the habit of wearing it because of the same thing you said about rings.

As a guy, I look only at the ring finger on the left hand. A ring on any other finger can mean anything or nothing so I don't make assumptions, it would not keep me from approaching someone. A ring on the ring finger would . . .
