song that just "gets" them every time and completely lifts your spirits, makes you feel good, excited or just crank out to?! The one song that always comes to mind for me and that I have on loop right now is "More Than A Feeling" by Boston. yeah yeah, a totally corny song from a totally corny 70's group...but damn, its fun! I remember in college going up the sloped overpass to campus and the right moment when the lead is hitting the high falsetto just before the last chorus....god what a cool feeling!

Beautiful Day by U2 and Long Way Down by the Goo Goo Dolls gets me going too. Burning Love and Suspicious Minds by Elvis too.

Anybody else??

I just made a new driving CD last week for the specific purpose of cranking it and singing along as loud as I can.

Some of mine are "Walkin' on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves, and "What's So Funny about Peace, Love and Understanding" by Elvis Costello.

>>You reminded me of something I saw the other day at a stop light. I looked over and this guy was just dancing and singing his heart out to something on his stereo. It was quite amusing to watch!<< (from Shy)

I do that all the time. In fact, I was stuck in traffic last night and belting out "At Last" by Etta James. Yes, my windows were down. (because my old car has no air conditioning) Yes, people could hear me -- and I didn't care. :)

So, that's one of my songs. I also LOVE Boston, Ruby. I think they are the ultimate road trip band. "More Than a Feeling" is a favorite.

I also crank "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel when it comes on. That one reminds me of a road trip I took in college.

AJ, enjoying life with C.

Well I'm a big fan of Creed, My Sacrifice, Higher, What If. I'm a big fan of rock and I listen to a lot of stuff most people never heard of so I can list of mine. BTW, countrygirl, I do like the Roadhouse Blues song, Creed covered it with Robby Kreiger from the Doors you may want to check it out, I thought they did an awesome job. They covered it at Woodstock in 98 or 99.

Great Post! One that does not have to be debated...

I love all kinds of music and I recently made myself a CD of "old school" rap, like "Bust A Move" and etc.

Here some others that make me smile and wake me up!

Redneck Woman - Gretchen Wilson
Shook Me All Night Long - ACDC
Feel Good, Inc. - Gorillas
Gold Digger - Kayne West
Hey Ya - Outcast
Come On Eileen - Some 80's band.

Just to name a few...

Ooh, yeah, Solsbury Hill, love that one too!

Mirror in the Bathroom and Twist and Crawl by the English Beat (actually, almost anything by them) do it for me, too.
