LOL I am right there with you. I'm not a very big reality show fan at all. Although I do like Big Brother and Hell's Kitchen but that may be because they are in the summer and there is nothing on in the summer so they are the few NEW shows that are on which may be why I am drawn to them.
Someone at work watches them and talks about it at lunch and most of the people DON'T watch at work THANK GOD or I'd cringe but there was a girl that used to last year and that's all they would talk about. It was rather annoying.
It was like when the Bachelor was really popular...That's not the case at all anymore around my office that luster wore off with the fiasco of Jesse Dumbo.
It's so not my kind of music, I don't have a clue what people are talking about, so I tune it out. Although, I did catch Lakisha Jones sing one night - that girl has got some pipes!
Okay I admit it - I'm the big loser of the bunch today. I watch American Idol almost religiously. Although I don't talk about it endlessly at work or anywhere else. I would never openly admit that I watch a "glorified karaoke contest," as Stacey put it because that's exactly what it is. :)
I do have to say that I am disappointed with the contestants this year. They're ALL terrible, with one exception. They need to just end the show right now and just give it to her.

LOL
Like Carla, I watch the auditions, but that's about it.
I'm with you. Can't stand it, and I used to be a professional singer.
I don't like any of the reality shows. They seem so pointless and contrived. Plus, so mean-spirited. I don't get it.
