Nope. I do hope she turns herself around, but as of now I still can't stand the girl...once she actually turns the talk into walk (I'm a skeptic), then maybe I'll listen to her.
I thought it was like watching a train wreck. Her PR people shouldn't have allowed her to do an hour long interview. As PR consultant, Ken Sunshine, said: "There ain't a lot there . . . In fact, anything over a sound bite was probably a mistake."
My favorite part? When Larry asked her for her favorite bible verse. Priceless.
I didn't watch, like I said, but after you said it was a train wreck, I did read about it...she says she's "not a big drinker"??? Oh right, everyone that drives intoxicated multiple times isn't a big drinker, what were we thinking?? It's sad at how out of touch with normal, non-Hollywood life some of these people are. Maybe she's not a big drinker compared to, I don't know, Lindsey Lohan (who also needs to turn herself around), but compared to the average??
And in my opinion, driving drunk (more than once, to boot) DOES warrant the punishment...she very easily could have killed someone.
I didn't watch because people get out of jail everyday and they don't get interviews on Larry King. but for the train wreak factor I read it and laughed out loud.
>>Paris Hilton told CNN's Larry King she would never again drink and drive and that her time in jail was "a time-out in life."<< Good for her that she won't drink and drive again but she wasn't in jail for drinking and driving she was in for violating her parole.
>>"I'm glad it happened in a way because it's changed my life forever," she said in the pre-taped, hour-long interview. "I feel stronger than ever and, I don't know, I feel like this is a lesson in disguise."<< NO Paris, this was not a lesson in disguise, this was just a lesson plain and simple. Too bad jail didn't provide her with a clue.
>> "I want to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."<< For kids huh? So what, she's just going to give money to random 9 year olds? Tell me where to send my donation to that worthy cause.
This is my favorite: >>Hilton said she suffers from claustrophobia and attention deficit disorder, for which she takes medication. She said sheriff's officials released her to home confinement after just three days because of claustrophobia and anxiety and panic attacks.<< So every criminal in the US can complain that they don't like enclosed spaces and they get out of jail free. Give me a break.
Well, she kept dropping the big guy's name so I guess Larry decided to call her on it. After he asked what her favorite verse was, she looked around as if she would find one chiseled into the desk they were seated at, and after what seemed like an eternity, said: "I don't really have a favorite".
Allegedly, she ordered a bible from the jailhouse commissary and walked out clutching it upon her release.
Larry who?
Smile,
Deirdre
