appropriate time to call

Let's say you meet a guy on a fri/sat/or sunday and you exchange numbers. Do you think it's always best for him to be the one to call? Also when do you think is the most common time as when guys would call after getting your number? Does it vary? I've been told that any later than thursday of that week means to basically foget it. Thoughts?

Definitely! Some feel that if they call the day or two after it makes them seem desperate that is why they typically wait until Tuesday or Wednesday. But if they wait until Thursday for me that is too long. That being said, if he does end up calling you on a Thursday I would definitely still answer but I would be more prone to put up my guard and I would be more likely to question his true motives.
I agree.
And that is why dating sucks!
I'm a guy.
After I exchange numbers with a woman, I call her the very next day, to set something up that week.
In between dates (say between 1st date and 2nd date) I do allow a few days so I don't appear to be a 'guy with no life.'
But, after the initial exchange, I always call within 24 hrs.
I advise men to wait 7 days before calling and this isn't to avoid looking desperate. From what I read it is clear women will accept a date from a man they are interested in even after being made to wait that long. If a woman says "No" because she wanted (demanded?) a call sooner then I would question her interest level...and desperation.
How many women would turn down a date with their dream man just because he waited 7 days before calling?
