I do not own a pet and probably never will but I was horrified to find that the FDA killed seven animals while testing the contaminated pet food! What the @$#! is wrong with those people?

They had to test it on someone. We're all little guinea pigs if you think about it. I just skimmed the article but I don't remember it mentioning how long it took for the animal(s) to expire.

I consumed fast food twice today. As if I needed it. I think I can feel the arteries hardening around my heart as I type. You think I'm kidding but I'm not. Well, maybe a little. I only got a couple hours of sleep last night. I'm sorry, I'm delirious.

I suppose they could have done autopsy's on the pets which had already expired. I'm not sure, I don't know how all that works in the animal world. There may not have been the budget for such. I guess there was no way to track or document what brands were going were and how much the animals were consuming, etc. Maybe there was a reason why it needed to be tested in a controlled environment? Legal reasons or other?

I don't know, but I do know that I'm going to bed now. 'Night Gracie.

They have to do controlled testing in order to identify and fix the problem.

It's a necessary evil and unfortunately the only way to learn what caused the problem.

It's scientific research - not always pretty.

It's also a good arguement for spaying/neutering your pets, unless you want your puppies/kittens to be sold and utilized as lab animals.
