Are You Truly Ready?

Sometimes I feel like people push people away that they really like because they are fearful of where it may lead ie LTR, which encompasses accountability, compromise, etc. I also find that people push people away due to “I-might-be-able- to-do-better- syndrome”. Be honest and think about it. Do you find yourself doing this? Review your past. What does it take for you to pick “the one” and work with it? Do you find yourself running from even the smallest nuisance? Are you REALLY ready to deal with a REAL person; an imperfect being like yourself?

I am definitely guilty of this.

I decided not to see a guy again after a first meet (OLD) because he spends all his vacations fishing (we're talking 5-6 trips a year all about fish), and I didn't think I could put up with that in a LTR. So, maybe that was me not willing to compromise, or me knowing that I love to travel but don't love to fish. :) Not sure, but you do bring up a good point.

AJ, enjoying life with C.

Ha! That's why I haven't had an LTR since the late 90's ; ) I've dated but it's never lasted over a couple of months. I'm admittedly lazy when it comes to relationships, too. They take a lot of work! For me, it's easier being single right now.
