Three and a half years ago, actually it will be four in october, I was 20 years old, and in a very similar place. I was living with my son's father (we were not married) and we broke up. I had my son, me, a car loaded with everything that i could possible need, or that could fit, and just enough money to buy gas to drive the 850 miles to get to my parents house. I had absolutely nothing else. No pictures, no momentos of the past 20 years, nothing but clothes, legal paperwork, and the necessities for a 15 month old child. Three and a half years later I am halfway through earning my Bachelor's degree with a double major in education and Psychology. I still live with my parents, mainly because they are helping me until I finish school. I met a wonderful man last september, who I love every much, and means the world to me. He is everything I could ever want, and he treats me like I am the best thing that has ever happened to him. We've decided to sit down after christmas to make our engagement official, and are talking about marrying after I get my bachelor's degree and start teaching. That time in my life where I had nothing but a car load of stuff, my child, and the love and support of my parents is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It made me realize what I truly needed in life, and allowed me to truly appreciate what I have accomplished since then. It also helps me look forward with new hope to what I will accomplish. That's my story. I hope it helps.
