What has been everyones best first dates so far? Was it dinner and a movie? Was it skydiving? Watching the sunset? How many of you have been on a very creative date or one you didn't think would turn out well, but turned out great?! Salsa dancing anyone?.....

My best first dates have less to do with the activity than the person, and they usually involve interesting conversation.

On my first date with my ex, we stayed up until 2 a.m. on a work night just talking about anything and everything. Our second date ended with watching an electrical storm from the front porch. Both were very memorable.

My best first date was my last one, which was with my ex. He took me out to dinner to a nice restaurant. He ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers....everything. For the first time, I did not feel like spending some money on a date was too much to ask. It made me feel special, because I could feel he thought that way of me.

We had known each other for about two years before we started to date. When I first knew him, I thought he was a creep. But afterwards I warmed up to him because he allowed me to see the other side of him. And he had been trying to get my attention for a long time.

I knew on our first date that this would be the man I married. I finally understood when people say, "you just know when they're the one".

We are no longer together, which stinks. But I have to say, by far, it was the best first date I ever had.

I have to say my best first date was really not one at all. Weird I know. I was at a local watering hole with a friend. A real cutie came in and sat down. We talked for about 5 mint and then I had to go meet my best friend and her family at the bolwing alley. I told the cutie bye and why I had to go, chalking it up to another missed opportunity. Well about 20 mint after arriving at the bowling alley, Cutie showed up!!! He jumped right in and played with us even helping my best friends 8 year old daughter play. My friend and her family left and he and I satyed in the bar having a drink and talking for quite a while. Needless to say

My best first date was with a guy I had been friends with for about 2 years before we ever dated. A couple of weeks after he helped me move, he came over with shrimp, steak, and wine. We lit the grill, but never made the steak. We sat on my deck talking for hours over shrimp and wine, with only the glow of the grill providing light.

One of my ex's and I were set up by a friend. We talked for a week, almost every night, on the phone. When we did meet up, it was just for a quick drink. Then when we were leaving, he knocked on my car window, I rolled it down and he handed me a bag with about a dozen Lindt white chocolate truffles in it. He remembered from one of our phone conversations how much I like those. I felt so special!

Then he asked me to follow him to his house. I was hesitant but did it anyway. In his house he gave me a

The best first date I've ever had still brings a smile to my face now, and it was 4 years ago. After two weeks of nightly phone calls after a meet through match.com he and I knew we had chemistry but nothing could prepare us for how amazing it was to meet in person. I allowed this guy to pick me up at my house. He brought me a small box of chocolates and a bottle of my favorite red wine just to be classic. --I love that simply because it IS classic at this point...no one does stuff like that anymore. We went to our town square and walked around. It was late fall..so it was cool and breezy, and you could hear the leaves rustling around in the wind. He was such an adventurous guy, he talked me into trying sushi for the first time. It was a blast trying different kinds of sushi. After dinner, we walked around the square and continued to have the greatest conversations. It was a magical night. We were BOTH falling in love. He came back to my place and we hung out for another hour or so before he left. Yes, we kissed, too ;)
That was such a memorable first date. It was more about the company that what we actually did, though. He and I were together for about 2 years and planned to get married. Well, that didn't work out. I wish it did.
I have never had that kind of feeling for any other guy. I'm open to it though!

We weren't ready for marriage. We both had other things to do in life before settling down. The timing wasn't right.
