Fun topic for all. What are your biggest turnoffs? And what is the most shallow reason for not dating/dumping a guy? (And its just for fun, no one is trying to offend everyone)
Biggest turnoffs:
Smoking
Country music
Baseball
And wearing clothes that are too tight or too big. I hate when a guy who is clearly an XL is stuffing himself into a medium t-shirt. And the opposite, I hate it when the guy is a S and swimming in an XXL. They make sizes for reason fellas!
Superficial reason for not dating a guy:
After I told a guy all the things I dislike (see above) he still wanted to take me out after blowing smoke in my face, telling me about a country music concert he was going too when they got into the off season of his semi-pro baseball career. In his defense, his clothes fit properly.

Superficial reason for not dating a guy:

Biggest turn-offs:
Smoking - I'm the asthmatic wonder, this is a definite no-go. Plus, it's disgusting.
Issues with Exs - If every girl a guy every dated is a "psycho", then he's the problem.
Rudeness to Service People - never harass someone who is just trying to do their job.
Poor Me Syndrome
Look at My Money Syndrome
Superficial turn-off:
The inability to use punctuation or capital letters in emails.

Biggest turnoffs:
Smoking
Excessive Drinking (to me if you have to drink every single day to take the edge off that is excessive)
Bad Teeth
Poor grooming habits
Rude behavior to waitstaff
Negative Nancys
Superficial reason for not dating a guy:
Someone who is super nice but just obese I always feel bad not being attracted to someone who is obese and I like guys with bellys.
Smile,
Deirdre
Biggest turnoffs:
Wedding bands :) (and men who hide them when they think you're checking them out)
Smoking
Scruffy/unshaved/wrinkled/unshowered - the grunge look is out, guys
Facial hair - unless it's a very neatly trimmed goatee
Arrogance
Obsession with money/status (Mr. Cell Phone)
Bad teeth
Rudeness
Playboys and guys who are hot and *know* they're hot - the strut
Zero conversation skills/ zero social skills
Superficial reason for not dating a guy:
He was too short.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
I have to add another turn-off.
When guys assume because you're a girl you're going to be late. And then they show up late and give you the excuse "well girls are always late so I "
Turn-offs:
- Smoking (seems to be a popular one).
- Aggressively opposing or insulting my beliefs/politics ::ahem, ahem..cough, cough:: I'm only kidding, but it does bother me when someone I'm dating does as such....I like to argue (as you may have noticed) or debate, but only in good spirits when each person LISTENS to what the other says and isn't too stubborn to try to see the other person's point of view.
- On the other hand, wishy-washy guys who never really seem to have a backbone.
- "Bad boys"...a guy can have a little bit of bad in him (don't we all?), but I never understood the bad boy phenomenon.
- Immaturity in general (ie living with your parents at 31 and throwing things at televisions...the people that give Sox fans a bad name :) ).
- Feminine/metro men (I'm a guy's girl and like guy's guys, sports and all...it actually bothers me a little when a guy's NOT into sports...I'm not sure I want that kind of role reversal, haha).
I'd say a shallow reason for not dating a guy...probably thinking that he just wasn't all that intelligent.
I don't like country music either, but so long as he's not blasting it on the radio for hours while I'm around, I'm good. :)
Turn-OFF(s):
Include and never limited to:: Liars, Open-relationship (cheaters), Back-stabbers (YES, guys talk much more gossip than Most girls), Braggers, Eye-ballers, Shuvanist Pigs, Boys that pretend like their Men, Guys that think that your their "mom", Uneducated, Self-absorbed, no ambitions in future goals and in life in general, "ghetto" or juvenille wanna-bes, immature, low IQ, sexist, and poor hygiene (ESPECIALLY BAD TEETH/ BREATH!!!)
This is a fun topic! UNBELIEVABLE about the 31-year-old who broke the TV over a sports game; I laughed about that, but mostly in disbelief.
My list of turnoffs all happened to me with guys I was in a LTR with at the time, so maybe "deal-breakers" are the better term for what occurred...however, now I wouldn't give a second thought to any dudes who exhibited these things right off the bat, so perhaps they HAVE become turnoffs...experience teaches you what to look for. Mine are:
- Guys who still refer to their mother as "Momma"
- Guys willing to drop $500/month on golf course fees, yet are anal penny pinchers about other things...to the point of being very arrogant to service people
- Unsupportive guys
- Guys who idle away LOTS of time at xbox, computer games, and on the internet
- Guys that are not up-front about who they really are, or what they want from a LTR, during the first few months of dating
Superficial reason?
- Too hairy!
