Okay everyone;

I have just discovered through divine intervention and the Universe that I am a Buddhist.. I have found that I have given up most of my material possessions, downsized years ago and can basically fit my life into the trunk of my car... I am not materalistic and those things actually dont mean a whole lot to me..

I really have no attachment to people places or things I guess?? I can live anywhere, go anywhere and leave anywhere and I am fine without getting all emotional and everything.. I have been propelled into this by the Universe since 2006.. Basically it is challenging at times

I was watching a TV program recently on Bhutan recently. The people in that country responded that they are happy and contented.

I, myself was born into a supposed Budhist family but we are not religious and know nothing of its principles and teachings.

After watching this program, I started thinking the way to happiness is "contentment". I think it is something we struggle with daily.

I find myself getting interested in Budhism.

I remember reading a book by Tich Naht Han (spelled wrong, I'm sure!) that "Englightenment is being to win or lose a million dollars and not having it change your mental state at all."

You might find much strength and wisdom in reading the "The Teachings of Buddha".

oh; yes.. I have heard of that book when I always watch Wayne Dyer on PBS.. He talks about that alot ..

I am basically a Christian and I believe in God although I have studied different religions I think they all lead to God.but I was always interested in Buddhism..

I wouldn't say I am a Buddhist but I am interested in that religion and I think they have a very sound principle.
