It's kinda random, but oh well!
Maybe I'm just becoming more aware, but has anyone else noticed the influx of overtly sexual commercials lately?

Sadly, I don't even notice it anymore. I know what you're saying though, kids pick up on the smallest things. On the fourth, I had my 9 year old niece in the car and we were pulling up to a fireworks show. A firework went off and she said: "Wow, what a mother!" I said "What?!?" and she repeated it. I didn't know how to respond so I just let it go. Mother isn't a swear word, after all. If I told her what goes along with it, she would start repeating it for shock value. I know her parents aren't perfect, but I also know that they don't talk like that . . . there's no telling where she picked it up.
I can't even let myself think of what they are going to be doing by the time they actually hit their teens. Anytime a boy comes near them they clamber for his attention. I almost feel sorry for the boys sometimes!
Yep.
I haven't seen the "Patty melts for you" commercial but I remember a video by Jessica Simpson - "Miss I'm-Staying-A-Virgin-Till-I'm-Married"... something about a red bikini and a Nancy Sinatra song.
