Haha, about a month ago there was this cute bartender that I had met outside of the bar. One of my friends invited him to hang out with us after the bar- and then later he walked me home and asked if he could call me. He never did call.
I have seen him at the bar since, and we still flirt. I always feel a bit weird because i'm drunk during those times and he's quite sober- so I'm not sure how I come across.
ANyway, so I was just walking down the street and I look up to see him coming towards me, smiling. So I smile back and we say hi. I ask how his trip was and he talks a bit about that. Then he asks me what I've been up to. I say "Oh, just work really. Nothing that exciting." And he's like "Keeping busy eh?" And I'm like "yup, exactly. oh, though i did start this quilting class. Learning how to sew, it's kind of interesting."
The look he gave me was precious- pretty much "what a weird thing to say" mixed with "what a loser."
Ha, so I don't know. I think when i see him next weekend I will tell him I was disappointed that he never called. But at the same time, I'm just laughing to myself because saying that I'm taking a quilting class is probably the lamest thing I could say to a guy. Not exactly sexy! Though who knows, maybe he'll think it's cute and it will balance out my "drunk girl" reputation i may have gotten with him.
Ever say something that dumb? And on that note- any chance that I didn't come off sounding like a complete loser? I mean, if he knew me better he'd know i have a ton of interests, normally very different than quilting.

girl please...at least you can sew. Im still trying to figure out buttons!
I've said many a stupid thing to many men in my life. They usually forget about it. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think nothing you can say to a guy who likes you can turn him off... or vice versa. Nothing you can say to a guy who doesn't like you can turn him on.
Bartenders due to the nature of their job tend to be flirty and flitty. Too many options.
I like what you said... I like sewing myself. Most guys find it cooler than just the "I like to watch movies and hang out" bit.
I constantly say the dumbest things. Like insist to someone who actually knew what he was talking about that the space shuttle was launched in Houston when it was launched in Florida. We ended up living together....
