Caller ID

Just a question about caller ID because I don't have it....
I called a guy who gave me his phone number (I asked him if he wanted my email and he gave me his number instead), I called about 4-5 times and there was no response. I have a private number, and I left him two messages, so I figured that when I called with the private number he would know who it was.....anyways, I began to start thinking that maybe he didn't want to answer when I called. I figured that he chickened out. But, I never left him my number so maybe I should have? I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

How is he supposed to call you back if you didn't leave your number?

It isn't really worth speculating about what he was doing/thinking during those times you called because there are a myriad of possibilities. Call one more time and if he doesn't answer, leave your number. If he doesn’t call you back then you will have your answer and no speculation will be necessary.

I am sure this is because you don't have caller ID, but it comes up on the other end as "private number", so he would have no way to even get back with you if he wanted to. But the good things is, he would also have no idea it was you that called five times, too. Call once more and leave your number this time. Play it off as being absent minded and leave it as that. You'll get your answer in time.
