I have this low level feeling of depression for several days now that I just can't get rid of--it's not serious, like crying all the time or anything like that, just kind of a blah sadness & I wish I could just find a way to get rid of it.

I hear ya!

It seems to me like you are doing everything you can to meet people--men and women. It's not like you won't try new things or put yourself out there. So give youself a pat on the back for that. I know it hasn't paid off with a man in your life, but at least you are in the game.

I think planning ahead is a good thing--it gives you something to look forward to, and some of your friends who are in relationships won't think to make plans with you. It's just the single woman's burden I think.

But it's just not easy sometimes. You work so hard at building a life, and you get these nibbles (meaning these men you've met) and then nothing. I have no advice other than to just keep doing what you are doing.

Hi;

Sorry Music you are having a bit of a sad phase.. It could be when the weather changes and the sun starts to disappear. Being in these Northeast States it could def. be a drag when weather changes.

So you are doing all the right things like Fla. said so yeah; pat yourself on the back. You never know what could happen?

Hey; Maybe you need a one day break or one day road trip to do something totally different.

If someone would go with me I would attend the Big E state fair in Massachusetts or the garlic festival upstate.. Have you ever been to the Big E state fair?

This weekend I am going to go to an outdoor seafood festival where I live.. Trying to get in the last few weeks of nice weather ..

I am also going to volunteer at a walkathon on Sunday.... lots to do there and lots of people around to socialize with.

Take Care of yourself!!

Hey; You might need something new in your life.. I know I know me too. We too!!!

I second what Florida said, it seems you are being proactive, and I think that's great.

Sorry to hear that Music. Though this isn't any consolation, it takes the down periods to make the happy periods feel that much happier. But I do agree, you are putting yourself out there, maybe its just a lack of results? Try somethng new just for the change of pace and for an adrenaline kickstart.

Hope you are feeling better Music..

I like everyone's suggestions to you..

I would like to add .. Do they have any bus trips where you are?? I know where I live they have one day bus trips to different areas.

Maybe you could look into that.. or maybe taking Amtrak to another city for the day.

One time I took Amtrak from New York to Boston..for the weekend with a gfriend and it didnt cost so much.
