I am having kind of an interesting conversation with a friend. And we were discussing love and life in general, who we date, how we project what we want to see vs what we should be seeing

It's the age old "love or money" question. :)
If I have to choose between the suitors in your post, I would choose the carpenter. But IRL I would choose neither one.
I need to have equal, or as close to equal as possible, amounts of both character
To me, it's a gut thing...I'd be with whichever guy I thought I should be with.

Not really. It is why I tried to make the difference between the two as close as I could. This is really based on real experience and reflection. The idea is most people wont sacrifice love for money, (some will, sure.), and most people wont take a lovable yet completely
