Cold weather blues...
| Tue, 12-06-2005 - 3:53pm |
So I just got back yesterday from a great trip. Very busy, very fun and lots of good memories. The thing is, I came back to freezing cold Colorado (where a balmy high of 6 is expected tomorrow) and I'm just bummed. I don't know if it's the weather, coming back to reality or getting back to a normal eating routine (food is always better on vacation) but I'm just feeling the blues. It's normal for this time of year I suppose but I could do without it.
What do you gals to to "snap" out of it? I'm headed to the gym in a couple hours so that may help a little but I wonder if there's something I'm not thinking of.

I am also in Colorado - my screen says 5 degrees right now, and that wind just cuts right through you, you know?? BRR. The drive home should be fun - eesh.
Yes, I am definitely feeling the winter blues this month.
I put up my Christmas decorations the other day, trying to force myself to cheer up for the season a bit. That helped.
I also work out a lot this time of year to keep up the energy, and I make sure I take enough time for myself to just sit and relax. Hanging out in a coffee shop with a crossword puzzle is one of my favorite ways to do that - but to also be out in the world and not holed up in my apartment.

You can come here.
Isn't it terrible? It's too cold, too soon if you ask me.
It's days like today when I seriously contemplate packing up my life and moving to the beach.
Hope your drive was safe!
It IS too soon! We don't usually hit the single digits or below zero until January or February. It's supposed to warm up again for the weekend, though -- yea!
Hope your drive was safe as well.
