Continuing the frustration loop...

A few things that have been on my mind as of late...
I'm a public transit girl...mostly because I live in a major city and am broke, but I'm happy that way anyway. BUT why can't bus drivers DRIVE?? They always act surprised by each and every stop. THEY WERE THERE BEFORE!! No one comes out and moves them around in the middle of the night! Unfortunately yesterday this resulted in me being thrown repeatedly against a slighly creepy guy that was practically on my lap anyway. Sheesh.
Also, I don't know about all of you, but laptops have always sucked for me. Something always breaks, which, unlike with desktops, causes this major problem and commotion and usually ends in me forking over a couple hundred dollars. I just bought my Gateway a couple years ago and I'm still paying off repairs and the screen's on its last legs. I'm really thinking about buying a desktop...

At least your screen lasted a couple of years. I have only had my laptop for six months and it's already blinking on me. Frustrating it 'tis . . .

Oh, and the bus thing... In Denver, we have free shuttle buses downtown. It is their mission in life to go immediately when the light turns green -- which means you often see four shuttles lined up on the same block and they all go on the same green light. Nevermind that people on the other side of the loop have to wait 15 minutes for a bus because the drivers don't know how to space themselves correctly.
I have also seen a bus driver literally close the door on an old lady with a walker - she was trying to get off the bus, the light turned green and the driver decided he needed to go right then. They also will regularly leave people at the busstop who were maybe two or three steps away from getting on, but the driver was too impatient to wait. Makes me crazy.

Yea well, if it makes you feel any better, what I have needs to last. (-: Trying to stay off those busses myself this year. ((-: Collage was a great move, well worth it. One of my "few" regrets in life was not going.
Do you have to have a lap top for work or school? If not, desk top's are the way to go, less money, more for it on top.
Personally, I love my laptop for space purposes and mobility. I don't need one for work, but I like to be able to take it to different parts of the house and not be stuck in the "computer room". I have one from HP. Love my big screen, love to watch DVDs or shows online while in the bathtub. It's great. And I've dropped the thing twice and it's still kickin'. Just my experience though. I'm not very tech savvy, but I personally would buy a lap top again. Maybe Gateway isn't the way to go next time?
