In some ways I think men are less thought of as "losers" for being single than women are--as long as the guy outwardly seems normal it just seems more like a choice to be a "bachelor" where at least in the past it was imagined that all women wanted to get married so a woman who couldn't manage to find a mate was more pitied.

Smart= paying attention and willing and able to pick up on clues. I meant more socially smart, not necessarily academically smart.

well Marina; I cant speak for anyone on this board because I dont know you guys but I have a sixth sense or idea about who you guys are..?

I do know what my issues are and here it is.. Other than the fact its my age I think I am alone because actually I am a bit afraid of getting involved and getting my heart broken.. and its probably showing up in my aura or energy or whatever. I was doing okay for awhile and then the past year or so I started waffling again with not

I think most of us have had such low experiences with OLD.

Marina, I honestly do not know. In my own case, I feel that, at 50, I have gotten very comfortable with living life on my own terms. I really worked at OLD for quite some time, and came away feeling very demoralized.

Yes, yes and yes to the luck part. Of course one has to use some degree of positive thinking and be proactive to a point, but I've said it all along: at some point luck takes over. You just can't keep beating yourself over the head about it.
