Yeah, hand holding or a quick kiss are fine, but a full-on makeout session -- nobody wants to see that. Get a room.

I don't really mind cutsey couples ***waves at Wendie*** but I do mind overtly sexual PDA's. I really think it's inappropriate for people to be groping each other in public and full on making out. But holding hands, a few kisses, snuggles whatever does not bother me in the least.

hmm. i don't see people totally making out in public very often, but when i do, it usually just makes me sigh. i've made out with past boyfriends outside of their cars in parking lots, on the street, outside a store once. we didn't grope, but making out is still making out. there are just sometimes when it seems it can't wait for a private place, especially in the beginning of a relationship, when you haven't yet ventured into a private place.

it's actually the cutesy stuff that has bothered me more in the past. i like simple gestures, flirting and such, but i remember in particular this one couple that came to the place i ballroom dance. they were dressed in matching colors and were absolutely joined at the hip and every other possible place. they hardly danced and hardly talked with anyone else and they just kind of looked at each other with googly eyes all night. jealousy was certainly a factor in my being irked, and boy was i irked! it still makes me feel a little annoyed just thinking of it!

i suppose we all have our pet peeves. and i will certainly think about these comments in the future when i'm tempted to make out out of doors. it can be

PDA has less to do with expressing affection and more with creating a spectacle and drawing attention. If there are older folks around a couple tightly locked in suction, I would like to see them all start hacking and coughing and sneezing at the same time. Will make a great youtube video.

Whether this stuff bothers me really depends on my mood.

There is a thin line between being overly affectionate and public lewdness.
