Well,

I just got back from the surgeon's office and the MRI showed that I tore my lateral meniscus (cartilege). I don't want to have surgery now and he said that he thinks that I will get better with physical therapy and be able to postpone the surgery until September when I had planned on having my ligaments fixed. He can do both procedures at once. But, if therapy does not make me better in a few weeks, I will have to have the surgery then instead of waiting. I can't travel until I see him next (in a month) so my trip to Seattle next week is off. I have never been there and was looking forward to seeing the city and meeting Sheri.

OK - enough self pity for now. I just had to vent.

Oh, bummer, I'm sorry to hear that, both because I was looking forward to meeting you and because of the prospect of having surgery! Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Really a bad scene! My best to you and do the physical therapy while you are taking Glucosimine and Chrondroitin which I did for my shoulder. When the surgery date came, I didn't need it. The pain was gone, it doesn't hurt when I pop my shoulder in and out (the cartilage is not repaired, but I avoided the risk of surgery the shoulder pops beack in without any pain also. Try it, it took mine a month. Its over the counter and get it at Rite Aide or Walgreen, CVS or GNC. You need 500 mg of each in a single pill, that's 1000 mg of each total. Take 2 with food at each meal. These are supplements and they will help your tendons as well. Sorry you missed your trip.

Ah Jules, that stinks! I'm so sorry. I'm sure you've had PT before but I'm a big believer in it- worked wonders for me! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
