I hate the word "resolution" because it just begs to be broken.

Like you new picture Shywon.

Good advice on the not becoming too obsessed, but it is good to have a passion that you will say to someone else - no I 've got to make this time for me.

To keep on my fitness goals and stay motivated I sign up for races. I have a half marathon in March and I don't usually run such a long distancce for a race, but I am working towards the marathon. I have 3 months to fully train and have signed up for Runner World magazine to keep on track.

To the OP who finds it difficult to stay exercise motivated I would sign up for something like a 3K Walk, or even the run. Give yourself at least 3 months to prepare and work towards that. Having a goal

Maintain a balance, and don't worry about cheating once in awhile!

****

Since April I quit smoking, and am up to a solid 3 1/2 hours a week working out, rowing mostly, some weights. I also GAINED almost 40 lbs!!! I have gone from 165 to 205! Does that qualify as cheating and maintaining balance? ((-:

As for that relationship . . .fate has a way of taking its on time. Don't get that wrong. If you hole up at home, no one is just going to come knocking on your door, that's not what I mean. But assuming you are out and about allowing opportunity to happen . . .then I think relaxed and self comfort improves things. You cant "force" anything with a plan. You cross paths with someone good or you don't in the end. Exposer is the main thing when trying to up the odds I think, not much more we can really control, is there?

We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.

I'm trying to imagine Shywon. I'm guessing it wasn't as artsy as hoped!

Your little sisters did a great job!

My dating resolution is to no longer date men who clearly only want a physical relationship.

I need to be more bold, too.

I agree with you. Resolution is such a terrible word! My goal is to stick to my plan, no matter how troublesome. I won't date just to stop being single. Even though I don't have much of a life outside my door. I'd still rather be alone, than go back to the way I used to be. And I'm trying to be more mature (as mature as a developmentally disabled woman can be) by holding onto my self-respect. It's a marvel that I've held onto it for this long.

Another goal of mine is to lose body fat. Yes, I'm on that track yet again. But to veer off-topic...Is that a picture of yourself? You look good.

Yes, that's a picture of me.
