I found this article on MSN-

I hate the word "resolution" because it just begs to be broken.

<> That's an excellent track record. Hey - I'm still proud of the 4.40, 1500m I did back when I was 14 and a cross-country champion. Many moons ago - over 20 years like yourself.

Funny, you should mention the knees. I just mentioned that I was happy mine are still holding in there. I try to limit my road running and if there's grass I head to it. Being at the beach we run in the sand a lot. That's the most amazing burn. The problem is you never get the same burn running on a treadmill as outdoors on the road/sand/grass. But hey if it helps me keep my knees a little longert then I'm happy to mix the treadmill into my routine. In fact, my Runner's World magazine had an article in it about injury proofing your knees.

Sorry to hear about the bullet in the arch of your foot - ouch!!! But the fact you are still keeping fit even after that rocks, but you're in sales and exercise really does keep you sharp and focused for it. I'm an account executive and I know it really helps me feel pumped for all of my cold calls!

It's all about the pacing. I aim for 7.30mins

If you knew the whole story with this woman, you'd understand why I mentioned her and her obsession.

Nooo . . . you are allowing me way to much credit. I was consistent until 92? When Hurricane Andrew hit I still worked for the power company and that storm took out the whole grid. So literally in a 48 hour period I went from a normal stable life with 2 hour a day work outs to zero.

I lost my house, everything, was doing the best I could with 3 kids who were still very young and finding safe places to sleep, protect my property best I could when I could, working 18 plus hour days, sleeping at work a lot . . I never started

Then that rocks. Wow you must have some lung capacity to you. I smoked for 20 years - a pack a day until 2 years ago. My friends were like wow if you didn't smoke what could you run. It's the European in me - born with a cigarette in my mouth!

That's so funny. I don't think I have ever really run into another committed runner the kept the habit. (-: Frankly my lung capacity isn't what it used to be. ((-: I wont be running any more marathons. I did quit for very good reason. But I can manage a hot date when the occasion arises! So I guess life is still not over yet! LoL

I'm going to be nicer. I was talking to a friend and he told me that women always complain about never meeting any good men and yet women won't stop and talk to men when they're in a bookstore or pumping gas. and he's right, at least when it comes to me. He told me that i need to stop and talk to men who i think are halfway interesting when they try to get my attention. and so that's my goal. To stop rushing through life and give guys the atlest an opportunity instead of rushing right by them.

Wish me luck!
