No, i don't think it's weird, I think it's great because it shows you're moving on when you're becoming desensitized to certain memories. If you like some place, you shouldn't have to avoid it for the rest of your life because you and an ex went there. I think I once even read something about how when you are trying to get over someone you shouldn't avoid things that remind you of your past with them.

Let's put it this way-- when you find the right guy, you'll probably get to go there with him and enjoy it a lot better ;-)

I don't think that's weird at all. When you can separate memories of places, people, and things from an X and enjoy them in a new way, that shows you have moved on. It's actually quite healthy! I know how you feel though, when I first broke up with one of my x's of 3 years, I wanted to despise every aspect of anything I associated with him. Then I realized that would pretty much be most things..lol.. I can still enjoy those places and all the things that I did with him. I won't sell myself short. I'm going to enjoy life. I fully moved on after about a year. He is basically irrelevant. :) Every now and then I'll smile about a good memory we had... it doesn't effect my new experiences in a negative way.
I say 'go for it!
