so I have been dating this guy for a little and we have great conversation and chemistry. In the past he frequently called me just to chat. Our last date was thursday, we had an amazing time, however it's so embarrassing....we were laying in bed the next morning, i must have eaten something that didn't agree with me, and I passed gas(very small). I didn't say anything or move after it...it was horrible, it never EVER happened to me in the past. he called me that day, but I haven't heard from him since. Has this ever happened to anyone? Am I being paranoid that he heard it and is grossed out? Guys-could this be?

My boyfriend says women don't fart, so it must have just been two pieces of rubber rubbing together, right? ;-)

Seriously- if he's never heard anyone else fart before, he's lived a very sheltered life.

Hi,

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years now, but I can remember the first time I farted in front of him like it was yesterday. Of course I was mortified, and looked sheepish and apologized profusely. I said, "I'm so sorry!!!" and his reply was, "For what, being human?"

And that sums it up plainly and consisely...It Happens, its not the end of the world, and if he thinx it is, I'd hate to see him when a real crisis comes up!

By the way, food doesn't have to disagree w/ you in order for a fart to happen. It happens as a result of simply digesting food. Don't most people fart first thing in the morning? If your guy didn't let one rip that day, don't kid yourself, he was probably stifling something himself!

Take care & good luck,

Gypsy

I'm wondering why you didn't just say "oops excuse me"? That way if he did smell it or hear you would have eliminated the thought of oh gross she farted and didn't even say excuse me thought or if he didn't smell it or hear it and said "for what?" you could have just say oh I thought I disturbed you...and played it off for moving.

I wouldn't worry about it. If some guys going to dump you for passing gas. I think you dodged a bigger bullet then a bad dinner.

Smile,

Deirdre

The first time I passed gas in front of my ex, we laughed our arses off. I think it depends on the guy but I agree with what another person had to offer, if he can't overlook a normal biological function which, came out by mistake, then who would want him?
