first blind date EVER

i'm young and still in school but a friend of mine wants to set me up with a friend of hers that i've only met once. at university there isn't a whole lot of actual "dating" so i have NO idea what to expect, where to suggest to go, what to wear, what kinds of things to talk about to someone with a real job etc... what am i supposed to do on a blind date???? help me????

Never been on a blind date but I would assume its pretty similar to any other first date.
Wear what you are comfortable in but ask in advance if there is a dress code at your destination. Don't "oversex" yourself...meaning, dont let it all hang out but don't be afraid to be feminine or sexy.
Suggest a setting that is casual and comfortable like a coffee house, a casual restaurant or a low-key pub. If you're adventurous suggest ice skating, going for a walk or something else that is active.
Talk about whatever you want. Ask him questions, let him ask you questions (dont drill each other..haha!) and just let it flow. I don't suggest usually movies or something silent because its more difficult to get to know the guy/gauge your chemistry because you arent talking. But if its hard to make conversation, there might not be much chemistry there anyhow. So its all up to you and whats comfortable for you.
I always pepped myself up before he arrived telling myself he was a lucky guy to have me for company that night.
Good luck :)

Also, the tip about talking yourself up before the date is VERY valueable. If you tell yourself you're a great date, you're more likely to act like one :-)
I agree with Ruby.
I would not suggest to have alcohol on the date. Even though it may ease the nervousness of either of you, it can also bring out undesirable behavior. First impressions are important.
