First off i'd like to introduce myslef... My name is Lydia and would love to get to know everyone on this board. You guys seem like such a nice group :)
Name, location, and age (if you want to say): ~~ Lydia, Northern Virgina, 26
How single are you? (i.e., dating anyone, not dating anyone, living it up single, not single at all but hanging around cuz you like us, etc.) ~~ Single a little dating here and there but nothing promising yet.
What's up for the weekend? ~~ I'm heading up to NY for the weekend.
Current gripe? ~~ I really don't have one...
Are you sick of hearing about the Rosie/Donald feud? ~~ OMG! The both of them need to stop acting liek kids and grow up!
Very single, but have a pseudo-date tonight with a guy I used to know in high school. Not sure what to think of that, but happy to have plans at least. I've been a major hermit lately.
My current gripe is that it is one below zero and getting colder, and will be that cold all weekend. So much for my skiing plans. Seasonal affective disorder (or cabin fever - whatever you want to call it) is definitely setting in - this is the worst winter I can remember in Denver for at least 20-25 years.
Yes, Rosie and the Donald can both take a flying leap.
I do - yea! Although I will be cooped up inside, it will be nice to have yet another long weekend. :)
Just wanted to mention - I'm thinking of moving to NOVA - probably Middleburg. I'm in Warrenton/Middleburg/Culpepper, etc. at least once a month and have so many friends down there.
Just gotta find a job with the right salary and minimal commute!
Name, location, and age (if you want to say): Mark, Portland, Oregon (beautiful Northwest), 53
How single are you? (i.e., dating anyone, not dating anyone, living it up single, not single at all but hanging around cuz you like us, etc.) I am going on my second date from this woman from eHarmony. I am actually excited about her. I have met a lot of women off eHarmony and MySpace and I have felt so-so about.
What's up for the weekend? I got my children (yeah!) and we'll hang out, catch up on sleep. My son needs to focus on finishing his college applications (he's 17, senior) and homework. This Saturday night my children are off to have their own social life sans Dad so I made a date with the forementioned eHarmony lady. Sunday night I'll be meeting my friend (whom I met off Match.com) for dinner? or a dog walk. That is her last day for her Landmark forum workshop (personal growth) so we'll get to talk about that experience.
Current gripe? I look to focus on the positive. I am mourning the loss of a friend. She demanded an apology for something I said before Christmas and I told her that I have trouble feeling close with anyone who demands apologies and do not own up to being responsible for their own feelings. Her response was to terminate our friendship.
Are you sick of hearing about the Rosie/Donald feud? I avoid negative news (which means I avoid news in general).
Do you have a long weekend this weekend? I've been laid off and out of work since October so every day is my weekend LOL. My children are with me while their mother is out East and there is no school then so we'll be together for Martin Luther King Day... yeah!
Name, location, and age (if you want to say): Barb, San Diego, 31

What's up for the weekend? Going out with my friend Sat morn to eat crepes at a farmers market (yummy), hopefully we can talk about some things so friendship is less rocky, out to dinner with bf's friends Sat night and Sunday maybe taking a couple of salsa lessons at this work shop
Current gripe? The ongoing one for the week of me trying to patch up a friendship with someone who's not cooperating right now
Are you sick of hearing about the Rosie/Donald feud? Of course, I get sick of things like this all the time
Do you have a long weekend this weekend? Nope, I'm one of those "fortunate" biotech employees that has to come in to work :-)
Location: Bridgeton, Mo. (a northwestern suburb of St. Louis)
Age: 35
Status: Single in name (not married) but paired up a guy that I live with
What's up for the weekend: Going to a rodeo tonight - that should be interesting. Never been to one. Saturday night we're going to see "Tideland" at one of the universities. That should be interesting as well - in a different way. And that's about it.
Current gripe: People who let their children run all over the restaurant. I suppose I'm supposed to think they're just as adorable as the parents do - unfortunately I fail to see the cuteness factor in unruly, screaming children.

Not dating anyone right now and I'm fine with that. I'm focusing on health/fitness and finances, not men, right now.
What's up for the weekend?
A horse show, taking down the Christmas decorations and foxhunting.
Current gripe?
Taxes. Bloody taxes.
Are you sick of hearing about the Rosie/Donald feud?
I haven't tuned in to it at all.
Do you have a long weekend this weekend?
We have an extra-long weekend. Monday is a holiday, and Tuesday all downtown government offices are closed due to the inauguration.

Trump/Rosie - eh, they're both jerks.
No long weekend for me. :(
