giving sense?

I am almost 29 and single, and have never been in a relationship. From time to time I get to date guys that I always find uninteresting, or then I am attractet to guys who are not interested in me.
All my friends are married or living together, they have kids. I'm always the only single when we meet, and now with all the kids I'm totally out because I'm not talking diapers.

I'm not criticising them, I think it's part of life. But it's not part of my life now. And I get to think, what if this never happens to me? I'm even not sure I do want this to happen to me. Where's my life going then? I have a boring job that I keep because I have bills and credits to pay. When I'm not working I'm doing the boring house stuff, and I spend my free time reading or watching DVD's - I like doing this but it doesn't make me feel like I live a life full of meaning.

I'd like to know what other singles think of this. What is making your life meaningful? What is filling it? Any insight on this?

I am one day away from my 28th and I was in an 8 year relationship that ended in 2004. When I became nearly single for the first time in my adult life, I had to find other things to fulfill my time until my next love comes along.

What makes my life meaningful is spending time with my friends, who are all single. We go out about 2 nights a week, dancing, dining and just tripping together. I enjoy my work and am finishing a master's degree, which keeps me busy. I have personal interests, such as writing (I'm hoping to finish a screenplay by the end of the year), meeting interesting new people with my interests, traveling, I try to take 2-3 trips a year, I have 2 kittens ar home that I'v adopted and bring me great joy, I have my family who support and love me. I enjoy cooking and learning new recipes and trying all sorts of new outdoorsy things I never have before such as ice skating, hiking, jogging and exploring my own city through fesivals and arts events.

Basically, I've taken this newfound freedom to try and do everything my heart desires. I once got in my car and drove 80 miles to catch a midnight screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, all by myself, just because I wanted to. I keep my life fulfilling by filling it with new and fun things to do.
