For the most part, I'm ok with being single, though I have my moments

So, if you and a guy make EC, if he doesn't make the move, he's probably nervous (just like you), and a simple HELLO or HI, works beautifully with a warm and genuine smile. Body language is the most critical part of MOST initial encounters.

What, Jarhead? It's old and worn out just like me. LoL
The only trouble I ever got in was simply looking like a bloody idiot because I got lost somewhere around hello. (-:
The whole idea of the rule is to not find reasons to not talk to someone . I am older and wiser today, and think first. As a result I am embarrassed far less often, but also meet far fewer people. Truth be told most folks were pretty good natured about being approached, interested or not if you aren't a jerk about it, every one walks a way with a smile. I wouldn't mind finding a little of the younger me that was willing to just act like that and not think and waste so many opportunities to at least say hello to someone new . . . talking to a stranger is the silliest fear in the world, and one of the most universal I think. (-: Especially as she described, after a good moment of eye contact, exchanged smiles and good vibes. You almost have to be a fool not to say hi. (-:
Heck, for those that belive in fate, what else could fate do to get you to stop and pay attention? ((-:
