ok so what you are reading is helping....great. keep it up. now about the 20 yr lifespan loss.my girlfriend came across that bit of info in a local mini medical health mag from her groups she frequents(NA/AA/etc). She read it to me as i was sitting right next to her and she broke out in tears thinking she could lose me soon after intervening in her drug life and saving her ass from a life of hell. i am her only friend left from that circle of who she thought were her friends while she was a druggie. I was her only drug free activist friend and i still am.
so, if she still has the mag i would be glad to post an excert of it here. Believe me i was just as shocked to here her say that, but i was not surprised to hear it since most diseases do cut a persons lifespan regardless of it being benign, malignant, reoccuring, and terminal.
I hope my other websites i posted for you even give you more current information. I have had to print out so many things online just to let my mom read it and she even said to me of recent that her doctors never told her all about ibs and what she has been reading that i have been bringing home from the library internet. She even took an article to her doctor and he confirmed its validity and apologized to her saying he did not want to frighten her anymore because of her frailty, stressfull personality, and her age(82). Sometimes a doctor will withhold info because he does not want his paitients to enter panic mode and fear the worst.
I havent been to the ibs board at ivillage in a long time...i still miss the old chat rooms we had 5 years ago. i lost so many peeps for e-friends when ivillage abruptly stopped the chat room stuff. I cant do the scheduled chatroom things because they are mostly at night and the library isnt open after 7 pm. argh!!!
oh well, life goes on...shy, take care the best you can. oh i almost forgot.... i had a hysto, my sister had a hysto, 2 of my cousins had hysto's. There is no documented medical history of my ancestry of our females ever having reproductive problems. My cousins, sister and i are the first in our lineage to have uterine diseases. I suppose its due to healthful, sanitary changes of society as well as chemical disasters in the world that have contaminated water supplies, etc, etc.
have a great day. i know i am its my bday today. im sooooo NOT OLD....38.
