Has anyone hired movers?

I have always moved myself, but this time I'm thinking it would be nice to direct and not do any of the manual labor.

I'm in the process of moving as well and while I don't have much furniture at all, I am going to just rent a U Haul and hire someone to move it out of here and into my new place. I would try looking on craigslist. Especially now, tons of college students looking to make a few bucks! I would find one that you can get references though, I found one guys website and he had reviews on there, which was nice.
I've hired movers. I will never move myself again! Worth the $ to avoid the torment and back pain. We found ours through Craig's List and recommendation.

$600 sounds doable.
After reading the horror stories in the reviews, I will definitely be checking companies out first.
I hired movers. They moved me from a town an hour away they boxed up all my stuff, and moved my stuff to a storage unit and then a few items to my parents house. They were at my apartment at 8 am, They dropped off the last of my stuff by 2pm and it was a total of 800 bucks. But that was mainly due ot the distance because it was travel time that you pay for.
If you are driving in town it's not that much but you do usually pay for a minimum of 2 hours at least.

I've hired movers for my last two moves. The first time, it cost about $200. (One bedroom apartment)

One of my best friend's mom owned a Mayflower franchise for years. The cost is going to depend on a number of things, based on what exactly you want them to do, number of rooms
