where you would ever meet somebody?

Even though I'm not actively looking to date someone, and kind of enjoy being single right now, I still can't imagine meeting a guy.

Yep, I have always wondered the same thing. I think when two people finally meet and have that connection, the meeting will feel just........ so right. It may be somebody you already know, you might meet them at Starbucks, but when it does, I think it will feel like it was always supposed to happen the way it did.

I think it was the same basic thing on my mind the first time I posted. (-:

You need to change your routine, get out, and do stuff.

You've got a very good point. It is important to learn to be more open with flirting or just being friendly in general. When you're in a situation to actually meet men after that, it may actually be easier to do so because you have worked to make yourself more comfortable connecting with people.

I do wonder, and that's part of the fun. You don't know when or where you will meet the person and, when you do, your 'how we met' story will be different from anyone else.

I do agree with PPs that you have to change your routine. Go to a different coffee shop or store, take a different mode of transportation to work, join a new church/club/class/group, etc. I know so many people who have met someone simply by getting out there more and by going to new/different places.
