Figure this out..

Okay.. There is a guy (my cousins friend) who about a few months ago started to chat with me on facebook.. I never met him but he seems nice and about four years younger than me.. He is divorced and a paramedic.. I didnt pay much attention to him at first but one day he started to chat with me on facebook; so I started talking to him.. Idle chit chat.. That was a few months ago.

Then another two months goes by and back in Feb. he asked me to go to lunch because he was going to be around near where I live.. I wanted to go so bad but I was sick with flu.. So I told him I was sick.. After that he said okay rain check . So I said okay.

Another month goes by and I see him on facebook and I just say hi but he sort of ignores me..so I figured he was gone and lost interest. He just kind of ignored me for awhile...

Well? Today he starts talking to me again on facebook and we have the idle chit chat..

Okay.. here is the twist.. I saw him on POF a few months ago . He had a profile up but he said in the profile that he just got divorced after many years of being separated. He did tell me about his profile and said he

It's so hard to guess what's up w/ other people.

As she said, it's impossible to guess. But here's my intuitive hit:

He's found X number of women to chat with on PoF. We all know that 80% of them are Nigerian men, or 40 lbs heavier/20 yrs older than their photos, but he has to find out the hard way.

ha ha .. LMAO

well? I would def. buy into what you said but he has taken down his profile on POF ...and he hasnt met anyone from there or that is what he said. So that part is not a mystery but he could be taking a break from it and looking for someone IRL..

Oh; Here is what

Honey, that and some fresh D batteries are enough to make any single girl smile.

How could he NOT have a crush on you?

Speaking of Daniel Craig, there are 4 guys named John in my dance school & then I just met another John at last week's dance so now there are 5.

Is it possible that he's seeing someone, so he can't really date you, but is keeping you on the backburner? That's the first thing that popped into my mind. That would explain the long absence and his profile being down.

I dont know and its a possibility and you know we know similar people so I can probably do detective work and find out.. I just dont really want to be bothered with that stuff but its an option.

Not sure if he is the back burner type but then again who knows?? He doesnt even appear as the I want friends as women type because he seems to have those on facebook.. He might be interested because he did ask me to lunch but then why hasnt he asked me out again.. I asked him out and he doesnt take the bait ..

Life goes on and cant wait around but just be friendly I guess.

thanks guys

I'd just sit back and let him make the next move - if you are even interested. When a guy does this sort of thing to me, it's very hard for me to want to give him another chance...

I read some other responses and it hit me:

You know CFK. I know what you mean .. Its like I cant wait around too long because as we know I aint gettin any younga...(lol)but what does it matter anyway.. I go on with life and that is that.. I dont mind being his friend. He is a very nice person..I remember a bit ago when I was having a meltdown about something people were posting about our old neighborhood on facebook..

I never thought about it that way, CFK--of course my son's name is John too.
