Horrible, horrible nightmares

I'm now convinced that I had these nightmares so I'd be forced to come to this board and stop Marina from sending that email, because I can't find any logic in them. I do hope I wasn't really screaming or my neighbor might have called the police.
I dreamt that I woke up to find a man in my bedroom. I tried to fight him off, scream, and even call the police while he started touching me, but none of it worked. He kept putting his finger in my mouth and I'd bite as hard as I could, but that didn't work either. Eventually I'd dream that I woke up and I'd put on my glasses so I could read my phone. As soon as I'd put them on, a man appeared again. Sometimes the same one, sometimes a different one. Once, it was two of them. At one point, I dreamt that I woke up in my childhood home and got up to get my mom. Of course, as soon as I fell asleep again, even with her, the man appeared again. I just kept trying to scream, but not much would come out.
I don't even want to try to sleep again and it's only 11:30.

I haven't had dreams like that in years. Whenever I had something like that happen, I would just sleep with the light on...does Jungian interpretation have a meaning for that? I literally shed light on it so it went away? LOL. But it did work everytime. Now I can easily sleep with any light on now :)

My first thought was work, too, but the men assaulting me just seemed like an odd connection.
The two books I've learned the most from are:
"Dream Dictionary" by Tony Crisp - a classic in the field, but you have to read the front matter to get real value from the dictionary part,
And then a newcomer to the game that is so unusual in the field that it shakes things up a lot, and is very easy to use: "I Had the Strangest Dream... by Kelly Sullivan Walden (who lives in LA!)

Good luck, shy...nightmares are never fun...and I have to say, that's when it's most unsettling to wake up all alone. That's definitely one of those, why do I have to be single, moments...
I'm going back and forth today with our counselor over something I need more support on. I flat out told her I was afraid of not getting support on a decision and mentioned that I knew about the meeting without me. She didn't address that at all.
Boy, am I cranky today.
