Do you think that a lot of men make this assumption?

So, they have to learn to be good in order to keep the girl that took them a hard time to get. Dont know if this is true..but it was true in my case.

This is very true. I have made a lot of effort over the years to “learn” to be a good partner. It sits in my mind less now than when I was younger, but it started with me wanting to be so good I would get the return visit. (-: To be honest I believe that part of my life when active is the best it has ever been. It is also a place I consistently receive complements, and that is rewarding.
What many men never figure out is that a “very happy” woman makes your experience much much much better.
Ahh...but you expected him to be good because he was hot.
>>Not just men, given a choice women will also seek out the fittest and most attractive males they can find.
Nah, I don't agree. Evolutionary preference definitely goes beyond looks. If a guy's not the brightest crayon in the box, I'm going to be far less likely to choose him as a mate. First off, I'd get bored really quickly, and second, looks can only get you so far when it comes to survival; intelligence will get you a LOT further.

Not really true, I'm kind of attracted to goatees and a little belly! LOL
and then once they have made their way over to talk to me, lets hope they can carry on a good conversation, talk about politics, sports, and be sarcastic and can take as good as they can give.
Smile,

I also don’t really agree. For “flings” sure, you go with hormones and looks. However if we want to talk evolutionary . . think trophy wife. Women tend to look at societal standing, not looks. How many 50 year old pool boys are running around with smoking hot 25 year olds? How many extremely successful 50 year olds have that 25 year old next to them on the old yacht? I am not talking gold digging here, I think the DNA drive has more to do with security.
Cave man stuff, men planted the seeds, women had the off spring and the responsibility to help them survive . . . insulating yourself from danger then seems logical if we are predisposed to genetic codes. Planting seeds will not work if the seeds don’t survive. Just mother natures way. (-:
In my personal experience, the really "hot" (yes, I hate that word) guys I have been with are much less likely to make my pleasure a priority -- like they think being "hot" should be good enough. They have been much more focused on their own needs.
The other guys - cute, sweet, attractive, but not "hot" - have been amazing. Amazing. ;) I'll leave it at that.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
>> I also find that sex tends to get better when you're with the same person for a while, because you get to know what eachother likes, and when you get closer and fall in love, the sex is just better, anyway. <<
Definitely! I totally agree.
Unrelated, I have to add that I think the hair color discussion is sort of hilarious. We're all different, and that's part of what makes us each attractive -- our unique characteristics.

No, I get that, it's just when people change what they look like to fit this definition of "hot" that bothers me and right now (in New England, anyway), hot seems to mean (often fake) blonde.
