How to meet new friends???

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to this board, but I've browsed a few times. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to meet new friends. I'm recently out of a LONG relationship and I've sadly realized I really don't have many friends to hang out with and do stuff!! Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!!

Try taking a class, perhaps a language or dance class or join a local sports league. I met most of my friends through some Portuguese classes I took a few years back, and it seems like there's a fun group of people in the belly dancing class I'm taking now.

Do you have any hobbies or interests that you could start doing? By going where your hobbies are, you might be more apt to meet people with similar interests as yours.
