I'm making a concerted effort to find a man I truly like outside my own little social/professional world.

Blowing you off is a huge deal.

When I read back something that I am puzzling about and pretending that this is someone else's dilemma, I find it easier to be clear on what I need to do or say.

From your posting:

Very Alpha male: made a date with you for the morning, did not show up or contact you and later talked with you that evening telling you that he "blew off" you and his friend.

He told you to call him, drive over to meet him ,and he will buy you a bottle of water.

After reading this back, what do you think?

In my opinion, if you want Alpha then this is the type of behavior that you get.

Hi All,

I am frankly surprised by your collective NO! to this guy.

On a different note, I've wished so many times I could become a lesbian - women are so much easier to understand!

But this is for you other girls who also think it would be easier:

I wonder if you put aside chemistry and physical attraction aside as an experiment in your dating to see if that works for you. Of course you would have your other criteria in place, e.g. values, interests, etc.

As I said, chemistry is the only thing that HAS worked for me.
