I would die without my central air! It's 100 here today and was darn close yesterday, and once it cooled down to 90 I went running, but that's because I'm insane. My central air is set to 78 degrees and it feels like the artic compared to being outside.

My apartment last year didn't have A/C and it suddenly got so hot and humid, I was living alone so I went to Sears and bought a window A/C for $200. My bf wasn't going to be up for the weekend and none of the guys at work would help me carry the thing to the second floor, jerks. So one night I was drenched in sweat and was determined to get the thing out of my car and upstairs...I about overheated doing it but once it was turned on I felt sooooo much better.

Oh, man, it's 63 degrees here in Seattle--I think the high wil be about 73--which to my mind is PERFECT--not too hot, not too cool, but I'm flying to Boston tonight--I just hope it cools down by tomorrow (I see it's supposed to but you never know). But luckily I'm headed to Martha's Vineyard and the Cape where it's usually a few degrees cooler--I don't think my mom has AC.

I can't believe I grew up in the Boston area without AC and then lived in NYC for years without AC--not fun! I was dying last year when I went up to VT for my college reunion and it was in the 90s and totally humid and we were staying in the dorms without AC--I've been spoiled by the temparate Northwest climate!

Hang in there--it will pass. That's the one good thing about going to work on days like that--at least it's air conditioned at work!
