I haven't actually cooked for myself (except for the occasional piece of chicken and some rice or something) in what seems like FOREVER.

>Do you think you cook less as a single person than you
>would if you lived with a spouse or a significant other?

I don't cook but I must pre-heat the oven myself and put the food in. It would be good to find a woman to do this and all the other household chores like cleaning, ironing and darning.

I absolutely cook less. It's less fun when there is nobody to share the results with and it seems like I make such a huge mess for little result. Now that I have been on Weight Watchers for awhile, I have been eating a lot of Lean Cuisines for dinner with frozen veggies, fresh fruit, and yogurt. It's getting a bit boring but I can't seem to get motivated to cook for myself. Especially since I have no counter space in my tiny kitchen and cooking is a pain...

Yeah, sometimes I try to do the frozen food thing, but after a while I feel like I'm going to throw up if I eat one more frozen meal.

I cook a lot for myself. I love to cook and try out new things. I try not to eat frozen meals or anything processed (unavoidable at times though). I HATE doing dishes especially in my tiny apartment. Grrr.... When I'm with the man, I cook about the same, maybe more since he eats a lot of freakin food!!! He's excited to see me, I'm going up there in 2 days over Turkey Day!! He asked if I would cook and I said of course!

I definitely cook less when it's just me. I love cooking but if I cook something I want it then and maybe for lunch the next day but then it lasts the rest of the week and I'm tired of it and it has a good chance of going to waste. So, either I cook something that can be frozen and eaten later (Italian food is wonderful for this!) or I cook and then bring some to friends, grandma, neighbors so I can get rid of it. I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving so I can cook a ton and bring it all over for everyone else to eat!
