I even had one sexually harrass me when I was in high school. I have tried my hardest to change myself ( make my acne dissapear, lose weight, etc) I don't know what's wrong with me. Your right. I'm trying my hardest to forget what guys are saying. I use my anger towards this issue I have with men using tae-bo (did that make any sense?) so far I have lost 14lbs using this method. but I'll take your advice.

Go said it all ;)

Hope you're around to read all the posts as this board is a very good place for advice. Firstly, being 'beautiful' isn't about guys looking at you or what they think of you. Its what you want to see in your mirror and how much you're capable to change it for "yourself". As what Go said, sports is very good way towards a healthy and more fit body. Is there any sports you are interested to join? Yoga is another exercise you can think about as well. Its relaxing and reduces stress as well which is a bonus.

Be oblivious of what people say about you (only the baddies) because people who do that are not worth your attention and have very shallow minds. They feel on top of the world when the person they are teasing shows them the reaction that they want. Move around with the people who love you for what you are, girls or guys no matter what their age is. Real friends have a way of showing us how 'beautiful' we really are.

Great idea! And in my city, one of the magazines put on a "Lust 2003" fest which was basically a party in a lounge for singles. I went by myself and met a nice man in town on business. He was older but fun to talk the night away with.

Go.

Welcome to the board. Hope you still around here and make some supportive friends - sounds like you could use them :)

I think the most successful changes I have made in my life have been intangible. Yes, I have lost weight but that was merely a by product of something more important - following my bliss. I LOVE sports...so I started being a joiner. Joined a boxing gym first (that took the weight off and put me in the best shape of my life!). I also cycle to work (which I find empowering) and joined a woman's only mtn biking club...they give instruction as well as taking us on rides. Currently trying to find a softball team. To be honest, the weight loss is alot LESS important than I thought it was in terms of my self esteem. Even now that I look "good" to everyone else - I don't to myself. The most important person here (tho, I don't have to look at myself if I don't wan to...heehee). I am learning that its about loving and accepting myself - not trying to meet some standard of society for the approval of others.

So I think what you need to do is RELEASE yourself from caring about what boys are saying about you. You will find that if you can to the point where you think "who cares" what that a-hole thinks? You will feel free...you will be able to do what you want to do w/o worrying about it. Hmm...thats reminds me of something I wrote once that I should put up here...

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it here and maybe we can all help each other.

Bright blessings, Go.

How about celebrating Valentines day with Friends that you love. For instance this year, my best friend and I both happen to be single....(you know that story) So we decided to go out anyways. We went to dinner and then went to another friends house and we finished a bottle of wine and laughed all night.
