I found a lump

I'm kind of having a freak out moment. I know it's probably nothing. I was showering and noticed a tender spot in my armpit. I usually can tell when I'm sick because my armpit is tender, but I've never actually felt a lump before. It's about the size of a raisin and doesn't move around. I think it's a little higher than when I'm sick and it's a swollen lymph node. Of course I googled it and got a variety of opinions. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I have experience with whatever that may be and they can be a bit scary because they are tender.  I'm not proud to admit this, but I hate the Dr. too and will usually procrastinate or not go at all.  You could give it a week and if it's still swollen/tender, go ahead and make an appointment.  I have always assumed when that happens, that it's an ingrown hair but better safe than sorry.

I've been eating plenty of fruits and veggies. So much so that I struggle to get enough calories after I exercise. I've been taking vitamin d since last year. It helps a ton with my energy levels. I hate going to the doctor! It seems like the minute I call, whatever it is always gets better. This morning, it hurts even worse and I can actually see whatever it is right below the surface. It's probably just a cyst or clogged duct or something. But dang it hurts!!

Shy; I agree with Music.. Just schedule an appt. with your doctor but my adivce would be not to get radiated and ask or push for thermography and ultrasound if they insist on having it looked at western medicine style..

Oh; and I would also start alkalizing your body with greens and fruits and maybe some juicing organic veggies... only thing you need a juicing machine for that.. and start taking Vit.D...

let us know and yes try not to panic.. sending love and positive energy your way..

I haven't had a lump in my armpit, but I have had one in my breast, even requiring a repeat extra-sensitive mammogram.  Try not to get freaked out about it because it will probably be nothing--just call your M.D. as soon as you can.  Will be sending you positive vibes.
