I found a lump
| Wed, 02-06-2013 - 10:05pm |
I'm kind of having a freak out moment. I know it's probably nothing. I was showering and noticed a tender spot in my armpit. I usually can tell when I'm sick because my armpit is tender, but I've never actually felt a lump before. It's about the size of a raisin and doesn't move around. I think it's a little higher than when I'm sick and it's a swollen lymph node. Of course I googled it and got a variety of opinions. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I haven't had a lump in my armpit, but I have had one in my breast, even requiring a repeat extra-sensitive mammogram. Try not to get freaked out about it because it will probably be nothing--just call your M.D. as soon as you can. Will be sending you positive vibes.
Shy; I agree with Music.. Just schedule an appt. with your doctor but my adivce would be not to get radiated and ask or push for thermography and ultrasound if they insist on having it looked at western medicine style..
Oh; and I would also start alkalizing your body with greens and fruits and maybe some juicing organic veggies... only thing you need a juicing machine for that.. and start taking Vit.D...
let us know and yes try not to panic.. sending love and positive energy your way..
I have experience with whatever that may be and they can be a bit scary because they are tender. I'm not proud to admit this, but I hate the Dr. too and will usually procrastinate or not go at all. You could give it a week and if it's still swollen/tender, go ahead and make an appointment. I have always assumed when that happens, that it's an ingrown hair but better safe than sorry.
Hi,
Fortunately I have not had any experience with this but I feel for you........ :) I also hate going to the doctor, but in this case I would to put your mind at ease more than anything.
Good luck and please keep us updated!

Don't wait past Monday--you don't know if you can get an appt. right away & why keep worrying about what it might be? If it's something you'd want to start treating it right away and then if it's nothing, you can know and stop worrying.
I did have a lump once that I could feel, but it wasn't painful at all. It ended up just being a small fluid filled cyst that disappeared. Wish I could be more helpful- but I think it's a good plan to call the doctor on Monday if it hasn't resolved.
I had one in my armpit, it was a boil. Hurt like hell to drain it, but that's what I did and it eventually went away.
BTW there is such a thing as male breast cancer... it's very deadly and nothing to sneeze at.
