I'm trying to think of it as two friends getting together so as not to get too anxious. I have not a thing to wear. Which means a trip to the nearest strip mall is in my imminent future. This guy is way out of my league. I'm not being self deprecating, I'm just being honest. He has all of his sh*t together...I am such a work in progress...and I think he's a good five years younger, perhaps more...and he's ridiculously handsome. What he sees in me, I have no idea. It's just a new friend. It's just a new friend. It's just a new friend 
To say I'm nervous is an understatement. Luckily, we're doing something outdoorsy so that should help...I am so rusty at this...I haven't dated since 2005. Wish me luck!

As for him asking if you'd be alone, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was trying to gauge the level of "date" you were having. Like, was he meeting you and some friends because you already had plans and you wanted him to join, or were you asking him so you could spend some more time with just him. I'd still be sure you're in a public area, but I don't think it's creepy that he asked.
SHY or XXX - please give me your opinion on this: Okay, we met at a Salsa club last night. I had already had a margarita, but wasn't at all tipsy and he didn't appear to be either. He said he has two masters degrees, and is a middle school teacher. He's from the south, he's BIG...like 6', and pretty built. All interaction has been absolutely normal, both last night and this afternoon. The only thing is, he's only texting me. AND after I suggested meeting a park, he asked if we would be alone. This park is large and there are never more than a handful or two of people there. I suggested grilling and having dinner there. After I gave him the address, and we picked a time, he texted me (about 40 mins ago): "I have a favor to ask...I really like red nail polish on a lady."
??? I've talked to three people, two say meet him somewhere else and one said to cancel the date. Thoughts??? (sorry free, just saw your post - would like your opinion also)

I would def. get a new outfit.. It is so much fun buying a new outfit for a date.
