Some of you know the health problems I've gone through this past year- stomach issues, tiredness, headaches (migraines), dizziness, and a general "not right" feeling.

I really liked Triphasil. It had no side affects at all.

Several of my friends had very bad reactions to the Pill, so you are probably right. Glad you figured it out! How frustrating, but won't it be nice to feel normal again if that's really been the problem all along?

I've been taking Nordette (or the generic version) for more than 10 years and have never had issues.

Is it a low-dose pill?

As far as I know, it's not low dose. It has .15 mg of the hormones in each of the 3-week pills and the 4th week are blanks.

I think it makes a difference which forms of the hormones they use, etc. You might need to experiment a bit to find one that works best for you. My doc recommended Nordette years ago because it had a low incidence of side effects.

They also offer progestin-only pills, so that could be an option as well.

I take Mircette and it's great. I actually feel better when I'm on it. And I never could tolerate most brands of the Pill when I was younger. Go figure.
