I want a gay "boyfriend"
| Thu, 03-08-2007 - 10:49pm |
You know, to pal around with, to gossip about local celebrities with, to take shopping with me when I'm looking for new furniture or a new "look".
I have wanted one since I was in my teens. Is that weird? Do any other women dream about finding their male homosexual soul mate? Where in the world do you look? I was going to try and steal another friends gay but I think I came on too strong and scared him off.
I'm serious by the way. The stereotyping was just for fun, no harm intended!

Well, I never did dream about it, but I have to say, having one is really great. I just got back from dinner with him and I swear we sound like an old married couple sometimes ;-). We're going to Turkey together in May--we're even sharing a cabin on a 2 week yacht trip (with 12 other people--I'm the token straight person on the boat, LOL!).
I found mine in the choir I sing with. We've been friends for a good 7-8 years now.

I had a gay BF at one time - well I still do sort of.
I met the guy when I was 19, we worked together at the same crappy job that teenagers work at. We clicked immediately and stayed friends for all this time (we're now both 35). He didn't come out until in his middle 20s, but it was sort of funny when he did - he was prepared for a possibly negative reaction from me and his other friends when he came out to us. I guess our collective reaction was an anti-climactic "yeah - so?" My personal reaction was "okay - so are we still going out tonight then?"
I don't see him much anymore. He's got a long-term BF who he pretty much lives with now and he's disappeared off the face of the earth. I miss him though.
"I never did dream about it . . ." That's funny.
Have fun in Turkey and on the yacht, you jet setter, you!
Get involved in the horse world. 99% of the men are gay.
I have many girlfriends of both gender LOL.
I have a few male friends who are gay, but I'm not super-close with them.
The line dance world is full of gay men, too (actually, all my gay guy friends I met through dancing).
I had a friend from church who I highly suspected but he never came out. All of the stereotypical signs were there though. I haven't seen him since high school. He quit going to that church, as did I. The last I heard he was in interior design and living just outside the city.
You should call up your friend and let him know that you miss him ; )
Well, I should probably clarify that - in the hunter/jumper world, most of the men are gay. I honestly can't speak for the breed shows (Quarter Horse, Arabian, Appaloosa, etc.) or other disciplines like dressage, driving, eventing or endurance.
Rodeo - more than you would think.
Foxhunting - just a bunch of alcoholics. LOL
