Some of you know that I've been having some health problems off and on for the past several years.

I can identify, believe me. In January I'm having minor surgery and I had to be sure to schedule it so my mom could drive me there, wait, drive me home, and put me to bed. It's no big deal but I suppose it's the idea of it that gets to me. The feeling of my mom putting me to bed is still something that can't be duplicated. However, should I ever have a husband to put me to bed, I would imagine that feeling would stand entirely on it's own, as well.

Yeah, but on those surgery shows they don't show the patient getting undressed and crawling up onto the table naked.

Well, I don't know if you have to, but I'm imagining it as the worst-case scenario.

I used to worry like that about going to the gyno - I was afraid they make you strip down naked and just lay on a table while they poke at you.

Shy --

First of all, sending good luck and lots of good vibes your way! It is great that you are taking care of your health, and the sooner they can help you the better. :)

I had surgery a few years ago that required me to be fully nude. First, they kept me covered and warm. (Yes, it's cold to start) Second, if you get anesthesia at all, you are not likely to remember the surgery later anyway. I remember getting wheeled in, and then waking up afterward - that's it.

The doctors and nurses are professionals, and they have seen it all. None of them will be looking for a cheap thrill - they will treat you with dignity and respect.

Again, good luck. I hope the tests come back with great results and you won't need surgery at all!

AJ, enjoying life with C.
