In January, this guy, J, sent me an icebreaker on Yahoo.

Does it matter if he is interested or not? Either way, he isn't treating you in a way that you deserve and that you want. The 2am message is so immature - sorry, but it is. I cannot stand it when people do that kind of thing. I always think, "Who are YOU to interrupt my sleep?" Unless someone is serious injured, I don't want my phone ringing or giving me a text beep in the middle of the night. Certainly not someone who doesn't have a big enough set to just be a man and court me.

So - he may be interested and he may not. But why do you care? Or are you just curious?

I'm on the fence. I'm still trying to figure out why men text or e-mail and can't pick up the phone -- even after you've asked him to. I don't get it.

My vote: this guy is either confused about how he feels, he's juggling other women or he's just to busy to keep up with corresponding and too socially inept to know that not how you whoo a woman you are interested in.

I say give him the ax ASAP. He is wasting your time and running you around in circles. Not worth it.

Ok I just read this whole post after I responded and I think you should copy all of our messages into one big document and show it to him. Show him what the consensus is and why you will no longer be corresponding to him.

Then wish him well!

I was wondering Ruby -- I thought you had found one of the good ones. You have to maintain that beacon of hope for the rest of us! :)

The beacon is lit, my man is a testament to the good men that are out there....except here's really why I said men suck...

So last night my friend Southern Belle and I were out celebrating her internship success (didnt think she would get it but she did) and so we went out for supper, had a few glasses of wine and then went to a bar for a drink. There was this other guy there hitting on me and wasnt getting a clue. He put his arms around me a few times, which I pushed off. He tried to buy me a drink which I said no as well as offering to let me taste his...as if. Then he asked me to dance which I said ok so long as you keep your hands to yourself (was more like I wanted to dance than actually dance with him). Which he didnt' do too bad, except when he would spin me, he would pull me in really close...so that had to stop. Then at one point he was trying to sit on my lap which I had to push him off...the guy was really hosed. And...he was 33.

And I told him several times that I'm attached and not interested. We can chat but thats it. Didnt get it at all. Sigh...

Wish my guy was here...he knows how to treat a lady.

I know - it registered with me too because it seemed so out of character for Ruby to say something like that about men. We don't really have any men bashers here on a regular basis. Thank goodness.

Agreed - thank goodness. I know I called one "lame" earlier, but I love men in general. :)
