Nothing like cleaning during the hot weather. I have a dog and got a refurbished Dyson. I love it! It's bagless and I can see all that hair and dirt I pick up. I get a sense of satisfaction whenever I vacuum because I can actually see the results of my "work."
I actually like cleaning (when I do make the time) for there are visible results when I am done. I think it is also that Cleanliness next to Godliness type of thing as well.
I admit I do it as often or regularly as I did when I first moved into my house but then again as a guy bachelor I think I'm above average *smirk*
Bathroom cleaning doesn't bother me. I rather enjoy it because it's all sparkly and smells "clean" afterwards. I don't mind vacuuming much either although, I agree, it does make you sweat. That's odd when you think about it because you really aren't doing much physical labor unless, you're moving furniture around n' stuff. My cleaning peeve is dusting.
They do have a new shower cleaner out. The scrubbing bubbles people make it, I think. You simply hang it in your shower, turn it on when ya get out and voila. I've only seen the commercials so, not sure if it is effective.
Well, I don't have kids but live with my bf and have a job with an hour's commute each way, and my house is indeed spotless - the only way to do this is to clean everything, every day - believe me, this way there will be very very little cleaning to do. My kitchen/bathroom/carpets don't have time to get dirty as it all gets cleaned immediately. I clean the entire kitchen including all sufraces/oven/floor after each meal cooked and eaten. Same goes for the bathroom after using it for a shower, for example. I will hoover at least once a week but ideally would do it twice a week - just don't want to annoy the bf with my clean freak ways too much.. Every day cleaning is the only way as far as I'm concerned - it is so much easier than not doing any housework for 2 weeks (ughghghhghg could never even imagine it!!) and then spending hours and hours trying to clean the mess..
It is very different for different people - to me, not only is it super-extremely important, I literally cannot breathe, exist, think, read, eat, talk, enjoy any activities etc etc in a dirty/messy house. I just go insane - simply cannot function till it is all spotless. Same goes for personal hygiene - I know people who are happy with having a shower twice a week (*faint*), whereas if I don't shower before and after work every single day I won't be able to function either.. So I keep myself super squeaky clean and my surroundings spotless 24/7 because to me that is a matter of life and death lol.. If house cleaning isn't important to you - cool, that's how you are, noone will ever be able to change you. As long as you are content, all is good...

Wanna come clean my bathrooms? ;-)
The thing I hate the most is that my hair falls out everywhere, and then when I clean I inevitably end up with a piece of wet hair stuck to my hands.
It is the sense of satisfaction that I like.

I'm really not that obsessive about it, and I'd really rather not be.
