I'm So Not Cool Because.....

OK...so I was emailing with some friends today, and we were making confessions about what dorks we were as teenagers...i.e. Shawn Cassidy fans, attended Barry Manilow concerts, etc. (NO - I'm not telling! And Yes, they post to this board, too.)

So here at work we were talking about movies.

I've decided that I'm So Not Cool Because...

I found This Is Spinal Tap a complete and utter bore. I resent that I will never have that 2 hours back.

Who wants to play?

>>I love Mythbusters and Law and Order: Criminal Intent

I watch Mythbusters occasionally with my brother. Once when I was hanging out with some friends of mine, I said something about an episode of Mythbusters and this was after I'd rattled off a few batting averages (I always surprise guys with that...the tiny 95 pound girl who ACTUALLY loves sports...I think the depth of my knowledge/fanaticism also makes me a little bit of a dork though, but oh well :) ) and he told me I was his hero for liking Mythbusters and baseball and flirted with me the rest of the night. Just saying, it could be an advantage. :)

>I went to a comic convention a few years ago - one of my best friends was a graphic artist for one of the companies. Had a blast. And let me tell you - when a reasonably attractive woman flirts with those guys, she can pretty much get whatever she wants.

I got the prototype of the Staypuft Marshmallow Man Bobble Doll from Ghostbusters.<

Wow! I am impressed! That's quite an item - I never got anything like that!

And yes, a science fiction convention is a sausage fest (to be crude about it). Any semi-attractive woman can have her pick of guys. I have never failed to meet single men at the conventions they have yearly here in St. Louis.

That photo you see of me was taken at the last one. You can't see him but I'm standing next to a Storm Trooper.

And yes, the guys are sort of dorky. But I do like dorky. And some of them are really good looking, smart guys who do this as just a hobby.

I never got a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man though. :)

In L&O:CI, his character is a gifted profiler detective. The show's plots can be freaky, but his character is intense and intelligent, but vulnerable. A definite good guy. But you're right a lot of his other roles were creepy, starting from Full Metal Jacket right up to Men In Black.
I love Mythbusters, they just make me giggle, and as I like to acquire random knowledge it fits my personality. Tory and Grant are both cuties.

Are you talking about the guy who was that one chick's boyfriend? Not the Julia Roberts character and not Annabeth Gish's character. I can't remember her name...argh. Anyway - I thought that was a guy named Adam Baldwin - if we're thinking of the same dude.

I agree with you on what's his nuts Crane on CSI: Miami. I'd watch that show a lot more if he wasn't on it. He's HORRIBLE! The worst actor I can think of right now. And I liked him on NYPD Blue.
